Koala Preferences.
You can adjust general Koala preferences and select the default Audio/Video client, which will start, when you enter the meeting.
“Presence”

“Presence” controls the icons that indicate your current status in the “Environment” view of the main EVO window.
a. Set the timeout, in seconds, after which Koala will change status to “Idle”.
b. Check “Auto Away” to turn on the “Away” icon after certain period of time has gone idle.
c. Set the timeout in minutes after which Koala will change status to “Away”
“Encryption”
Encryption is available for IM, Audio, Video and Whiteboard. (Note: Turning off encryption allows you to decrease the load on your computer).
“Monitor actions”

a. Check “Enable Monitor Actions” to allow Koala to monitor the system and dynamically adjust the transmit and receive settings (i.e. reduce the video bandwidth sent, reduce the number of video streams received, etc...) with respect to the local system behavior (CPU load, packet loss, ...) when local resources are went insufficient.
b. Check “Send System Info to EVO Monitoring” to allow Koala to send monitored parameters of your PC to EVO monitoring. This is helpful in case of Real time debugging.
c. Check “System Beep” to turn on the alarm. Any time when a shortage of system resource is detected by Koala (as described above), it will produce a short beeping noise of regular intervals.
“Options”

a. Check “Auto Login” to allow Koala to connect you automatically to EVO without confirming it during starting time.
b. Check “Mute Start Music” to disable guitar music played at the start time of Koala.
c. “Meeting moderator can start media”: Check it to allow moderator of the meeting to turn on your camera, microphone or start Desktop Sharing. This is useful, for debugging or to show users remotely how to start/stop audio/video.
“Network”

a. “Panda Timeout” value corresponds to the time Koala has to wait when it lost the connection to its Panda node before making an attempt to connect to the alternative Panda server.
b. “Use Local Multicast”
c. “Test Local Multicast”
d. “SIP Port”: You can specify port which your Koala will listen for incoming SIP calls
e. Check “Enable Incoming Calls” to allow your Koala accept incoming SIP calls.
f. Check “Auto Answer Incoming Calls” to automatically accept incoming SIP calls.
“EVO File Exchange”

a. Check “automatic adjustment” if you want to let the Koala automatically set the maximum upload and download bandwidth.
b. If you don’t want limit your upload/download, then check “no limit”
c. You can setup the maximum upload/download bandwidth by moving the sliders. Note, that this option is disabled when “no limit” or “automatic adjustment” is checked.

d. Click “Set the destination folder” to change the destination where you would like to have you downloaded files stored.
e. Click “downloaded files” to open up the folder where you can find the downloaded files.
f. Uncheck “Ask before opening file” if you prefer to have any download file to be opened automatically after downloading.
“Chat Preferences”
Will allow you to adjust the control settings within the chat panel such as: Beep, text size, Chat Layout, Show User’s New Status, etc.

“Local AV Client”
Here you can choose your videoconference client, which will start when you enter the meeting. After the first start of Koala, the default client EVO Tools will be automatically selected on your PC. Depending on which tool is selected, the panel on the right will show the settings associated to the specific tool.
a. “EVO Tools”: If you join the meeting with this client, it will start Audio and video application on your PC. You specify if you will start video/audio/desktop sending automatically, when you enter the meeting or if you want to join with audio only. You have to hit “Save Settings” to have the same setting after you start Koala again.
b. “EVO ExtCall”: This client is useful, if you want to connect your H.323 or SIP client in Videoconference room. For more information please refer to section 3.3.1.
