Audio Settings

To open the "Audio Video Controls" Panel shown below, click on the button or on any vu-meter bars of the DashBoard during the meeting.

  • will manage the output volume with the Receive Gain slider. If you want to change the Transmit Gain, you should adjust it directly on your system. You can change the Transmit gain in Koala only if Transmit Auto Gain Control (AGC) is off.
  • You can select a different audio device or Input/Output to transmit or receive from the pull down menus. You may want to do this if you don’t hear the remote participants or if you don’t see any activity in the vu-meter when you are talking.
  • You may monitor the gain on the meters: your microphone gain should always be within the green zone for a correct audio quality.
  • You can select the Advanced button to set some additional settings.
  • Update Device List: If Koala was already started and then you connect any USB device, click on this button to update the list of the available audio devices.
  • Restart Audio: In case you loose audio, you may try to use this button to restart audio.
  • Default Audio/Video Settings: It will switch back to the default system setting. Note that every setting change is saved when you leave the meeting. When you launch Koala next time or join a new meeting, your saved settings will be set automatically.
