Desktop Sharing


Shared Desktop is a pure software-based video codec tool.
To use it click on the button
from the DashBoard of Koala. The Shared Desktop window co-exists independently from Koala client window as shown below. It will be shown as a red frame that will indicate the shared part of your desktop. When you will start the sharing (using button), everything showing on your screen inside the red frame will be transmitted to the other users in the meeting.When you will stop the sharing use button and red frame will be gray. When you will close Shared Desktop click on the button , or on the button in koala.

There are seven graphics buttons in the Shared Desktop window. Three buttons are on the bottom side of window: “Settings”, “Share”, and “Close” . Four buttons are on right side of window. Those four buttons can manage the size and the resolution of the shared desktop: “CIF”, “4CIF”, “XGA”, and “Full screen” .



To
resize the Shared Desktop window you can drag resize button at bottom right corner.

To
maximize window you can double click on top border. To maximize the Shared Window you can double click on top gross window border.


Settings


To open the "Audio Video Controls" Panel shown below, click on the button of the DashBoard during the meeting.



If you want to start the sharing, you can click on button Start Desk Sharing. If you want to stop the sharing, you can click on button Stop Desk Sharing.
If you want to share fullscreen (red thin border), you click on button Share Fullscreen. If you want to share part of your screen, you click on button Share Windowed.


You can select from 4 Qualities:
  • High : 1000 Kbs (bandwidth) and 15 fps (frames per second)
  • Mid: 500 Kbs and 8 fps
  • Low : 150 Kbs and 2 fps
  • Other : you can select your own bandwidth and frame rate
