Send File to another EVO User

You can always send a file privately to another person connected to EVO. There are multiple ways of doing this depending on how you will find the recipient name. You can send the file to a user who is already in your buddy list or you can see him/her in the presence tree, or you can use the participant view , or you can find the recipient using search engine.

  • You can use the presence tree (your buddies list or not) using the pop-up menu which will show up when you click on the selected person

Shared files within a meeting

To be able to access to the shared files in the current meeting you should click on this button from DashBoard. It opens the "Exchanged Files" window. This window allows three actions: “Download the file”, “Delete the file”, “Upload the file” and access to the preferences (see below).

  • To upload a file you need to click on the Upload a file” button and select the file which you want to upload using your file browser. If you want to cancel the upload process, click on the cancel button that become visible as soon as the Koala starts to upload your file.

  • To download a file: Select the desired file from “Exchanged files” window and click the Download the file”. EVO system will ask you to provide the destination directory when you use it the first time and will remember this directory so you will not be prompted again. All further downloads will go in this directory. You can always change destination directory later using “Preferences”.

  • To delete a file you should select it and click the “ Delete the file” button.
  • You can change Shared files parameters like Destination folder, bandwidth limitation and other parameters using Preferences”.

If Koala failed to connect to File Exchange Server, you will get the message shown below and should open the ports mentioned in it.
