CHAT
The Chat interface is in the bottom part of EVO Koala Client. There are three different types of Chat:

Community Chat: It is a public chat, available to all users who subscribed to that community chat. This type of Chat is hidden automatically when you enter into the meeting.
Meeting Chat: It is a public chat, accessible to all participants of the current meeting. It is available for the meeting duration.
Private Chat: It is a point to point Chat, between you and the selected user (from the participant list or presence tree or the user search engine). A private Chat can be closed via the "X" cross in the chat tab. A smiley that show the current presence status is visible in the private Chat tab (as it is shown above).

Each community or meeting has its own chat. If you want to activate community/meeting chat, you should click on the tab labeled with the name of the community or the meeting that you want to see.
Type your text in the bottom field to write chat messages and hit the Return/Enter key to send it.
You can click on
Smiley to get the pull down menu to select emoticons. The bell
icon shakes the window to call for attention from the other participants. You can use it only in the Private or Meeting chat window. If you type a full Web Address (URL like http://www.w3c.org) into the Chat it will become a clickable link automatically for all other users. A click on it will open a web browser with the typed URL in it.
Note that a Chat tab will flash red when someone writes a message into that Chat.
